It’s the sport you may have first heard about during the pandemic, but now it’s pretty much everywhere.  Here’s what you need to know about this must-try sport, along with the must-use Padel backpacks to carry your gear around (and look cool at the same time).

It’s time for another installment of Trendy AF and this time around we’re covering the hype around a wide variety of Padel accessories, but more importantly the ever-vital Padel backpack.

If you’re a bit new to the trend, Padel is a sport that is similar to tennis, but played on a smaller court with walls. Think of it being a mix of tennis and squash.

The game is played with two players on each side of the court, using paddles instead of rackets. Since it’s not really about “power” and “strength” like with traditional tennis, it’s fun for people of all ages (including some of the younger kiddos too – within reason).

Overall, Padel is a pretty popular sport in many countries, particularly in Europe and South America.  In fact, when the pandemic first hit Italy and there were so many restrictions, Padel became and overnight sensation where family and friends (and even stranger) came together to bond over the sport!

When it comes to how to play (from a very high-level), there are several different types of strokes that can be used in Padel. The most common strokes are the forehand and backhand. Players can also use slices, volleys, and lobs to keep their opponents off balance. It’s a pretty fast-paced game, and points can be won quickly if one team is able to take control of the court.

Padel is a great way to get exercise and have fun at the same time. The game can be played by people of all ages and fitness levels, and is really a great way to meet new people and make new friends.

Now that we’re all caught up on what Padel is all about, you’re going to need way to carry your rackets around.  There are a variety backpacks and bags you can use that are specific to Padel.  They can be a bit pricey, so the good news is that some brands have created bags that can be used for a wide variety of rackets – whether you’re playing tennis, pickleball, badminton, squash – you name it.  Plus, may have room to store the balls too.

Some of the top Padel backpack brands include:

  • Nox Padel
  • Bullpadel
  • Siux Padel
  • Acosen

Many of these will be featured below if you want to check them out!

If you’re looking to give this sport a go, check out our picks for some of the best Padel backpacks and bags (so far) in 2024.
