It’s basically like Christmas has come early because news of Toys R Us making a major modern comeback is something we really all need these days.
According to recent reports from CNBC, Macy’s and Toys R Us are teaming up to bring a wide selection of popular toys from Toys R Us to more than 400 Macy’s stores starting in 2024. But, if you can’t wait until then – don’t worry – because you can shop directly on the Toys R Us website starting now and, in fact, their website will actually be powered by Macy’s, which is good news because Macy’s site is pretty amazing.
Similar to the Kohl’s and Amazon partnership where you can bring your Amazon returns directly to Kohl’s, Macy’s is hoping to bring in additional customers who are looking for the latest toys and then may stick around to pick up some additional merch from Macy’s themselves. All we know is that we’re excited that there will be any kind of a toy store back in our lives again.
And, if you were wondering like we were, yes our favorite mascot Geoffrey the Giraffe will be back and is said to welcome kids into each Macy’s toy departments. Even better? Expect to see more of a presence in the upcoming Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
