The best speaker (ever) that we recently got this past Christmas was from Sonos. Well, it wasn’t from them, but you know what I mean. Our home was basically filled with a sorts of Apple speakers and Alexa everything. Now? Well, we’re officially a Sonos home. Not familiar with them? Don’t let the prices fool you. This is totally doable.
The speaker we received was The One (in black). It sounds amazing, isn’t too big, looks great (comes in white too), can be controlled with your voice, and can even be paired with another one if you’d like/if you have it. This is the one we got, if you’re interested:
Outside of this speaker we’re clearly obsessed with, they’re really the go-to when it comes to home entertainment systems. If you’re looking to super charge your home theater (even if it’s just your man-cave) they have everything you’ll need like:A recent review from PCMag called it “Powerful sound for its size!” It’s really the best speaker we’ve ever had and is so much different than any of the others we’ve purchased ourselves. Typically they’re known for being really expensive, but when it comes to these one-off speakers it’s actually really comparable. In fact, we’ve spent more in the past on our old Bose speaker.
- The Beam, Arc, and Sub – build it all on your own piece by piece
- The Entertainment/Surround Sound Set – buy in a bundle and save some money
If you kind of know what you’re doing with your home theater (we don’t) you may want to go with buying each piece individually, especially if you have some speaker equipment already at home you love. If you’re new to this and just want it all uniform and done right, we recommend to go with any of their complete bundles. Typically when you buy a bundle you can save up to $97. Worth it.
So give them a try, even if it’s just starting off with a speaker. You’ll be converted before you know it. We were!
The Deal With the Deals:
If you just start to Google “Does Sonos” it will automatically fill in “…ever go on sale.” Clearly people want to know! We get it, we were one of them. As far as big sales events go, they really don’t have them. Trust us, we’ve looked. There are times when Sonos will run a sale – like Black Friday (sometimes) or even to compete with Prime Day (sometimes). These aren’t always consistent so we recommend to sign up for their emails because at least you’ll know ahead of time when a future sale is planned.
To Gift or Not to Gift:
Since we were gifted a Sonos speaker, we love to pay it forward. So the answer to this is “yes” they definitely make a great gift idea. Here’s a quick list of some ideas on what you can gift and who makes the perfect receiver (in our opinion, of course).
- For Him – Go with their “One” wireless speaker – See it here
- For Your Teenager – Go with their trendy turntable (yes, really) – See it here
- For the Tech Lover – Go with their sub woofer – See it here
You can’t go wrong with any of the above, especially if you’re looking for something they most likely don’t already have!
The Deal With Promo Codes:
No. No, Sonos doesn’t offer coupons or even a promo code. For real. We’ve checked. Like, a lot. We actually even emailed them to ask. We never heard back. Honestly, don’t even bother looking for promo codes for them. It’s kind of a complete waste of time. We don’t offer any either, in case you were wondering. Like we have that kind of power.
