Don’t get us wrong, shopping at Best Buy or, of course, Amazon is usually our go-to when it comes to the latest tech stuff. But we recently branched out and shopped direct at Lenovo and had a really great experience, found what we wanted at a lower price then everywhere else we checked, and basically became best friends with their customer service team. If you haven’t bought something from them directly yet, you’re about to become a fan too. Total game-changer.
Most of our tech-buys take place during the holidays, pretty much like everyone else. This past Christmas we were tasked with getting a gaming headset for my 10 year old nephew and a Chromebook for my 12 year old niece. While we consider ourselves pretty tech savvy, when it comes to tech stuff for kids – um, we’re kind of clueless.
While we really do love Amazon there wasn’t anyone we could talk with or ask endless questions to. My sister recommended that she had some luck with Lenovo so I rolled the dice and gave them a try. What started out as a pretty decent (and helpful) chat morphed into us making a call to talk with their sales customer service to answer our (honestly) endless questions. Not only did they basically pick the gaming headset for us, but even talked us down from purchasing a more expensive Chromebook based on the age of my niece. Pretty amazing.
The other thing that totally surprised us was that we were offered free shipping and while their general shipping timeline is 4-9 days, we actually got our merch in 3 days; and that’s even more shocking because it was just 2 weeks prior to Christmas during a pandemic. Magical times.
So if you’re in the market for just about anything tech definitely give Lenovo a shot. We don’t think you’ll be disappointed. It’s been such a great experience for us.
The Deal With the Deals:
Like so many tech companies, some of the best times to find a pretty killer deal is either during Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday or the week after Christmas. But, if you’ve missed it – don’t sweat it – right now’s actually a decent time to take advantage of some of their most recent deals. Yep, they’re happening right now.
Through our research we’ve learned that, on average, their online sales average anywhere between 10% – 20% off their original prices. The best part? It’s not just last seasons electronics. You can find some pretty amazing deals on some new arrivals too. While offers are always changing, check out their latest (and official) deals right here.
To Gift or Not to Gift:
By now you know our gifting experience so, yeah, we 100% recommend checking them out for all the folks on your gift list this season or any time of year, really. Here’s a short list of tech ideas for some of the most popular people our readers usually are shopping for:
- School Aged Kids – Go with any of these Chrome tablets – See it here
- Tech Savvy Parents – Go with their smart home package – See it here
When you can ever go wrong with a tech gift? Become that hero!
The Deal With Promo Codes:
One thing that’s pretty clear is that, no, Lenovo doesn’t send out coupons or promo codes…at least not on our site and not on other sites. They do, however, have their own active promo code offers on specific items from time to time and they’ll always be clearly labeled. So don’t waste your time on any of those sites that claim to have exclusive offers (fake news), and just shop directly on Lenovo’s website. Here are all their official discounts and codes as of today, right here!
Other than that, while they’re not ours, you can typically get up to $100 off with email signup and 5% off if you’re a healthcare worker, student, teacher, in the military and more. We’ve listed out some popular options below.
