It’s safe to say that at some point most of us have owned a Columbia jacket, especially when it came to ski season. It’s still one of our favorites (and warmest) we’ve ever owned. But, we were kind of blown away to learn how many other things they had that we really needed in our lives. If you haven’t checked them out in a while, it just might be time to check them out and get ready for the change of seasons. You’ll be as hooked as we are!
If you’re a regular reader of IBBB (welcome back!) you know about our pretty unhealthy obsession with all things YETI. We always say that we love YETI, but hate their prices. We decided to branch off and when a friend of ours recommended to check out Columbia’s hard cooler we were intrigued. Our first thought was, “how dare they!” followed by “how much?!”
So here’s the deal, their coolers are kind of expensive too. But, definitely not as much as some other similar brands. However, the best part for us was that they actually put them on sale from time to time. Let’s repeat that. They’re part of their overall sale! So the one we chose (the PFG High Performance Cooler 50Q) which was normally $300, was actually marked down 30% off and we snagged it for $210. Yes, really. And, in case you’re wondering it keeps ice cold for up to 9 days (amazing) and fit a ton of stuff (read: beers and snacks).
TBH we didn’t even knew they had coolers and the like. We started browsing around their site and learned they also had a ton of hiking gear (some stuff we didn’t even know we needed), a section dedicated strictly to all things golf, and even clothing and gear for kids (from toddler up to teen).
So, of course, we always recommend them for their coats and ski jackets. But we’re really behind a lot of their other gear and think you’ll love it too. Oh, and check out that cooler, too, if you’re in the market for one!
The Deal With the Deals:
While we always love their Black Friday and Labor Day Weekend sales events, you don’t have to wait until those holidays to find some pretty amazing merch on sale. And we’re not talking last season’s stuff either. There are newbies in there too!
Right now you can save, on average, anywhere between 15% – 25% off originally priced merch for men, women, and the kiddos during their sale today. They currently have some amazing jackets on sale, outdoor gear and equipment, sneakers, hats, and more. Everything that’s on sale today can be found right here!
To Gift or Not to Gift:
Columbia is now our go-to when trying to find something unique and innovative that the peeps on our list don’t already have. We put together a short list below of some helpful gift ideas and to whom you can gift.
- The Traveler – Go with any of these travel accessories – See it here
- Easter Gifts – New sneakers for the spring – See it here
- Groomsmen Gifts – Go with their top selling cooler – See it here
- The Wine Drinker – Go with these stemless wine tumblers (yes, really) – See it here
You really can find something for just about anyone!
The Deal With Promo Codes:
The good news is that Columbia does have coupons and promo codes…and they’re directly on their site, which is actually quite helpful because who wants to waste time looking for them all over the internet just to find that those “exclusive codes” really never seem to work anyway. What a pain!
While we don’t have any exclusive offers here either, definitely check out their site because they’re listing everything that’s new, active, and will actually work. What a concept! Check out their official promotions here!
While things can always change, one of our favorite promos they have (doesn’t apply to us) is their 10% give back to folks in the military, first responders, and teachers. How amazing is that? All heroes in our book!
Check out some of the best of Columbia, including new arrivals, best sellers, and any promo offer happening (so far) in August 2021!
