Whether you’re looking for a new winter coat for yourself or looking to gift someone special on your list this holiday season, Oprah has officially named her favorite coats.  Yes, plural.  These are the jackets she chose as part of her Favorite Things!

Oprah's Favorite Coats For Winter 2024 - 2024

It’s tough enough trying to pick out the right winter jacket, especially when you’re trying to buy it online.  Well, as part of her Favorite Things, Oprah has been naming some of her favorite coats for the past few years.  Going back to 2020 and 2021, some of her favorite brands she’s repeated have been 32 Degrees, Lands’ End, and UGG.  The first two have been named multiple times, so be on the lookout for any new coats to be named on her next Favorite Things list too!

What’s pretty great about some of her choices is that many of these coats are actually pretty affordable.  We always assumed Oprah would be draped in jackets upwards of $1,000 and more – but she chose a few different options over time that are pretty well priced for those with a variety of budgets.  A lot of these can even be purchased directly on Amazon, so if you have Prime you should be able to get that free 2-day shipping too!

We’ll continue to update this article as Oprah choses her 2024 picks (and on, and on) the same way we have with her must-have bed sheets, her cozy pajama picks, some of her favorite foods,  and the mattress that she claims you gotta sleep on.

A lot of the coats she’s chosen in the past are still available, but some sizes and color options may be tougher to come by.  We’ll do our best to direct you to the credible retailers that are currently offering these jackets at a decent price (typically Amazon and directly from the brand themselves).

The UGG Teddy Bear Coat

It looks like you’re favorite teddy bear stuffed animal and feels the same way too!  One of her most recent picks, this long teddy coat falls below the knees, is made of UGG’s signature comfy and cozy sherpa, it’ll help keep you warm while still feeling light and comfortable, and comes in fun colors like cloudy grey, winter white, ink black, and firewood.

About this coat, Oprah has said,

When Ugg boots first came out, I thought they were so great, I gave them away on my first Favorite Things show. And now they’re making coats, y’all! This sherpa style is as close as you can get to wearing your robe out in the real world. It’s beyond soft, and the double-breasted design gives it some structure.”

Check availability direct from UGG here or even on Amazon here.

Lands’ End Expedition Waterproof Down Parka

This is the second time Oprah has named a Lands’ End coat as one of her favorites.  This one has a 600 fill down, a waterproof shell, a faux-fur collar, will help keep you extra warm and dry (without sweating) and sits around thigh-level.  It comes in a bunch of colors to choose from like classic black, grape, red, royal blue, evening blue, blackberry, light stone, and more.

We’ve had better luck finding this available in a variety of sizes and colors here on Amazon, but there seems to be a bit of an updated version direct at Lands’ End here.

The 32 Degrees Light Down Puffer Vest

You can never have one too many puffer vests and according to Oprah these vest are,

Perfect for layering on those chilly but not freezing-cold days (and for coverage of the tush), this water-repellent vest, complete with detachable hood, comes in a range of wonderful colors. Insulated with non-bulky recycled polyester, it can be condensed in a packable pouch for travel.”

Check it out in two different black color options.  We’ll continue to dig around to see if we can find them in other colors too – hopefully before the holiday season kicks up!

The Lands’ End Quilted Stretch Down Wrap-Coat

Yep, Lands’ End made her list again.  This time her fave coat is a comfy wrap, stretchy, water resistant, and should actually keep you really warm from temps as low as 6-degrees up to 31-degrees. Check it out in green, blackberry, purple, and trendy camel.

According to Oprah,

Here’s a puffer with panache that’s also surprisingly sleek. It’s designed to keep you warm in temps as low as 6 degrees Fahrenheit, and it also has considerable stretch, making it a good topper for active on-the-go days.”

The 32 Degrees Packable Long Down Jacket

Like we said, Oprah does love to repeat some of her favorite brands and 32 Degrees made her list again!  This one is light-weight, packable, 3/4 length, down filled (650 fill-power) and overall runs a little big so that you can still wear a comfy sweater underneath if desired.  Right now we’re only finding in black, which will go with just about everything so you can’t really go wrong.
