- Acoustic Guitars: These are hollow-bodied and use only an acoustic soundboard to help transmit the strings energy into the air in order to produce its sound.
- Steel-String Acoustic Guitars: This is what most people imagine when they think of an acoustic guitar. They have a loud, bright sound that’s widely used in all sorts of music.
- Classical Guitars: These are similar to other types of acoustic guitars, but they use nylon strings instead of steel strings, which gives them a softer, mellow sound.
