One of our favorite ways to incorporate some plant-based meals into our everyday life comes from the folks at Purple Carrot. They really make it so easy – even for rookies like us. Keep reading!
We’re totally new to the plant-based diet way of life. Now, we’re not really to go full vegan, but we wanted to start to incorporate some plant-based meals into our everyday life. The closest we got in the past was when Dunkin’ added that plant-based sausage patty to their menu. But we knew there had to be more to it than that.
A friend of ours recommended we check out Purple Carrot because they basically give you all the ingredients and you just have to follow a simple recipe. Game changer. While you should always check with your doctor first, we felt reassured since they also got the dietician stamp of approval. Phew! If you haven’t heard of them yet, def give them a look!
What’s really cool about Purple Carrot is that they give you everything you need to make some great plant-based meals. Think, Hello Fresh – but, like, way better for you. Personally, since we know nothing about this way of life and have no idea how to even start something like this they’ve made it super easy – and super tasty.
You can choose from a variety of different plans based on your own needs and goals. For example, you can either do a plan that’ll give you 2 meals per week and up to 4 meals per week…and anywhere from a 2-serving plan to a 4-serving plan. You can pause your plan, reschedule, or cancel at any time, so it’s great for those who are afraid of commitment (like us!).
Oh, and they don’t just have dinners. You can choose breakfast, lunch and/or dinner and they even have some healthy and yummy snacks too (if you’re into snacks, check out Daily Harvest too). And, don’t stress if you’re new to this and afraid of what these meals will be like. It’s not scary. Trust us. Some examples of what they have are things like:
- Italian Butter Bean Stew
- Buffalo Tempeh Quinoa Bowls
- Baked Cauliflower Parmesan
- Caper Dill Bagels
- Pesto White Bean Melts
- Oat Chocolate Bars
- Peanut Butter Cup Truffles
They make it pretty easy to create these meals, even if you have no idea what you’re doing in the kitchen (again, like us!). So if you were interested in test-driving some plant-based meals and snacks, we def recommend giving Purple Carrot a try. We’re glad we did and have been feeling pretty great (and proud of ourselves!).
