It’s always fun around here when we can hype up a brand that we find truly unique and one that we really are pretty obsessed with for a variety of reasons. That’s why I was pumped when Solgaard came across my desk. On the outside they may seem like just another travel and luggage brand, but they’re really so much more than that – total game-changers.

Solgaard has been around since 2016 and their first claim to fame was their Lifepack, anti-theft backpack. Since then they’ve morphed into an efficiently organized travel brand that takes sustainability to a whole new level. In fact, at this point for every item they sell they’re able to save 229 plastic bottles from entering the ocean. At last glance they’ve save more than 30 million plastic bottles!
Now, not only am I obsessed with them, but they’re consistently named as one of the top luggage, carry-on, and travel brands by the editors of GQ and even over at Apartment Therapy. But perhaps their biggest endorsement comes from all the folks on TikTok who really are fully in love with Solgaard. In fact, their hashtag on TikTok has brought in almost 100 million video views (100 million!)

Here’s what I love about Solgaard – they offer you a 10% coupon that they just have appear right at checkout. You don’t even need a code (and you don’t have to look all over the internet for them!). Ok, so what I can’t get over is their Closet Carry-On bag which, you guessed it, really acts more like a closet than a travel bag once you arrive to your destination. It has a built-in shelving system that opens up once you open up the bag so you never really have to unpack at all – it’s just like closet shelves. Genius! And, they also have a built-in USB charging port so you can charge your phone and other electronic devices on the go. It’s similar to Away Travel in terms of charging on the go, but so many other luggage brands still don’t make this a common practice.
Overall, the Carry-On Closet is big enough for about a 3 to 6 day trip, but if you need some more room go with their “Plus” version that’ll hold enough for more than 7 days. And, of course, they have some really amazing colors to choose from like classic black and navy blue, but they also come in more fun colors like purple, teal, pink, sand, green, and red.
If you’re like me and basically detest packing and especially unpacking once you arrive to your destination, you have to give Solgaard a try. You’ll never travel the same way again. Ever.

Since Solgaard really is more of a DTC brand, they pass as much of the savings on to us (the customers) as possible. Therefore if you’re looking for lots of coupons and sales, they’re going to be tougher to come by.
I did look into their coupon policy and what I found I was really surprised by. First off, they do accept coupons – but the only hitch is that they have to come directly from them. And, um, they don’t really promote them that much. So your best bet is to choose the item you like, add it to your cart, and suddenly you’ll see your discount (usually 10%) automatically added to your checkout process. The best part? You don’t even need to add in a promo code specifically at checkout. They’re like genius mind-readers.
