If I Could Have 1/10th of Betty White’s Career Today, That She Has at 88, I’d Retire Today
How hot is Betty White right now?! If I were her I’d be doing push-ups daily, sleeping in an oxygen chamber, and making any deals with the Devil I needed to in order to starve off death for a little while longer.
After countless recent movie roles, confirmation that she’s hosting SNL (on May 8th), we can now add that Betty White will be staring in the TV Land sitcom, “Hot in Cleavland.” Sure it’s TV Land and sure there’s gotta be a Betty-White-Cleavland-Steamer pervy joke in there somewhere, but still, this is outstanding. Is it normal that B. Whi (as I will now lovingly refer to her as) has a better career than Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and all 16 Kardashian sisters combined? It’s better than normal, it’s karma.
In “Hot in Cleavland” B. Whi will play the role of the “snarky, but spry caretaker of of the Cleavland home shared by three former LA residents played by Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, and Wendie Malick.” What? No Golden Girls alumni being held up with a fishing rod and toothpicks in their eyes? What a jip!

She could have quit after playing Sue Ann Nivens and would have still been considered legendary. She was the only one on MTM who didn’t get a spin-off but deserved one (what an injustice). But the old gal didn’t quit and she out-performed all her MTM and GG castmembers combined. Now that is impressive.
